Saturday, May 9, 2015 - Popped and poured. This is a medium ruby wine with some sediment in glass 1, which only increases through the end of the bottle. Decanting is recommended. On the nose, I get very ripe cherry, garrigue, scrubland, and an almost pruney smell. In the mouth, this is a thick wine with a sweet edge, all leading into a long, lingering, ripe cherry finish. Overall, this is a fine example of rich, ripe Grenache, albeit one that tip-toes right to the edge of acceptable ripeness. The intensity throttles back a bit with air. 93 points.
