Tuesday, May 19, 2015 - A private dinner (Restaurant De Echoput, Hoog Soeren, Netherlands): Deeper, richer, more masculine and powerful than the Haut-Brion 1989 it was paired with, but also less subtle or refined; enormous presence on the nose and on the palate, full-on beef stock flavours, earth, ripe blackcurrant fruit, still very tannic, just a hint of heat on the finish, excellent length.
