Friday, September 25, 2015 - Deep full ruby color. Gorgeous nose of smoky gravel and rich black fruits. Simply exquisite on the palate with great freshness and vigor. Deeply concentrated dark red and black fruits along with notes of asphalt and woodsmoke. So regal and fine and lazer-like in its intensity. The finish is still years from showing itself fully but there are hints of extraordinary complexity underneath with notes of eucalyptus, tobacco, dark spices and tar. This is a few years behind the Haut Brion in terms of aging and will ultimately surpasse that great wine in my opinion. Its hard to explain how fine this wine is. 98+
