Dark, rich, and brooding are what come to my mind, although it definitely had a terrific high-toned side as well. This wine struck a great balance between power and finesse, primary and secondary characteristics, fruit acid and tannins. Very well done, I suspect this has another 2 decades in it and will probably show even better in another 5-10 years.
