Thursday, October 29, 2015 - Bottle vertical for three days. Label in poor condition but excellent level a few mm above bottom of neck. Minor difficulty with cork, part of which was soft. Decanted. Nose: Initially some musty vapours. Initial tasting indicated it needed a while to equilibrate. 45 minutes - 1 hour later, it had come around and showed both the nose and characteristic palate of excellent Pauillac. Great structure with perfect acidity, plenty of cassis, earth, leaves and firm tannin, which seems to comply with '75 weather and vintage. Medium-bodied and not showy. Bottle consumed over the course of 3 hours by my wife and I, and excellent to the last drop. Obviously well cellared, I believe this would have lasted a few more years.
