Friday, February 7, 2020 - Wines for the Acker Merrall Bicentennial Auction (The Pool - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Double blind. Clearly Leroy Vosne, I thought it charming with great red fruit, baking spice and balance, but not quite as dense as her Beaux Monts typically shows (so I thought this Genaivrières). Still, so wonderful now.

2/7/2020 7:06:00 PM - I'm confused. Were you noting the Beaux Monts and comparing it to another Leroy Vosne 1er Cru (Brulées, I guess), or was this another wine mistakenly entered and then compared to the Beaux Monts? Thanks for clarifying.

2/8/2020 9:45:00 AM - Drwine, My apologies for not being more clear, so I edited my note for better clarity. It was Beaux Monts, I just didn’t think it showed the level of density typical for that wine. The risk that comes will real time, late night note taking/ posting!

2/8/2020 12:04:00 PM - I've done much worse in the rush to get "pen to paper". Thanks for the clarification. Enjoy La Paulée!
