Saturday, March 30, 2024 - Decanted for sediment as this wine threw off a lot. Deep garnet color. Very mature nose of earthy forest floor, old cedar, leather, with some ripe blackberry and cassis in the background. Really nice. Similar flavor on the background with more fruit than shows up on the nose but still lots of nice tertiary flavors. Medium+ acidity, tannins mostly resolved. Smooth finish. Delicious bottle of wine and much better than expected.
