92 Points

Wednesday, December 30, 2009 - Was down in DC with my GF and took this to dinner at 1789 (a lovely place to dine btw). From a 375ml. Lovely aroma on opening - dark fruits permeates through-out. On the taste, surprising how much dark fruits still exist for a 14 yr old wine. The tannins have fully integrated with hints of plum and chocolate. A lovely wine. Went well with roasted Fois Gras, even better with Duck Confit and beautifully with roasted goose. 92+pts
