Thursday, May 15, 2014 - Fourth in line of tonight’s six DRC 2011’s on the table.
The wines had been decanted for 60 minutes prior to being poured.
I’m a big, big sucker for R.S.V in general, and DRC R.S.V in particular.
This is another great vintage of this wine.
Perhaps not as great as the unbelievable 2010, but still.
The nose shows the über sexy profile only RSV can deliver, with the most delicate and beautiful floral flower garden perfume, wild strawberries, raspberries, Vosne spices, and minerals.
Such an airy and light delicate beautiful lingering perfume on the nose!
Incredibly sexy!
On the palate this is soft and silky, with fat velvety cherries and red berries.
A lovely floral and rather feminine wine.
Still, it posses the structure and acidity balance to last for 25+ years.
I love this stuff!
