Sunday, July 27, 2014 - I've opened this and decanted for 2h for comparison with the '09 Langhe Nebbiolo from Vajra. This '11 is slightly at a disadvantage (age wise) compared with the '09. Both are very nice, and balanced. I like them both equally well, but for different reasons. The '11 Germano is fruitier and spicer than the '09 Vajra. That suits my tastes a little better I think than the Vajra. Although both are quite nice young Nebbiolos, I think my preference is the '11 Germano.
