Tuesday, April 13, 2021 - This is a large, concentrated, powerful and impressive wine with presence, charisma, structure and tannin and is built to travel the distance. Dark, inky, purple in colour and full of restrained fruit behind firm tannin on the palate. Double decanted and drunk some 6 hours after opening, it still feels tight and powerful with minimal secondary softness. It had mellowed by the next day, but on this tasting I shall probably leave this another 5 years before opening another bottle. Very pleased to have another 11 sitting on the sandstone under my house.
