Monday, May 28, 2012 - A bit reduced on opening, as others have noted. Assertively green and stemmy on the nose -- tarragon -- very mineral with some apricot skin too. Very aromatic. Aggressive mouthfeel with loads of zip and energy giving lift to fairly rich and surprisingly peachy fruit. There's a botrytis-like note that is vaguely reminiscent of some Jean Thevenet's Domaine de la Bongran Macons. This wears on you. Entirely different from the Gerard Boulay Sancerre from last night, but no less enjoyable. Wild wine, even for Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc.
