Saturday, September 13, 2014 - Similar notes to last time. Clear, brick red (although slightly more purple than last bottle), slightly watery rim. Clean intense nose, cherry fruits, liquorice, violets, earth, mushrooms. Sweet palate, good acid backbone and nicely integrated tannins, very rounded, cherry fruits dominant although secondary flavours round it out nicely, long length. Paired beautifully with the magret de canard and a green peppercorn sauce. This case still keeps on giving. Two bottles left, how long to keep them?
