Friday, November 10, 2006 - I opened this bottle with Mark and Sue at the Anvil Club. This bottle had been well-stored, with a mid neck fill, and perfect cork. The bottle was opened and decanted for sediment then poured back into the bottle and recorked. About 6.5 hours later when we arrived at the restaurant, it was poured right into a decanter where it sat for another hour before it was consumed over the course of about 3 hours. Deep ruby to garnet color, barely turning pink at the rim. Very elegant, with rose petals, plum, potpourri, dark fruit and a touch of mint on the nose. Impeccably balanced, full-bodied and very young, with abundant sweet red and dark fruit flavors. Extremely long finish. An absolute pleasure to drink, and nowhere near its peak.
