Sunday, December 4, 2016 - Pours a lovely dark garnet, immediately upon opening I'm hit by vanilla, marzipan, and sweet red fruit on the nose. After a few hours the sweetness and vanilla dissipate to allow the cedar, earth, and stone to come forth. The palate is likewise vanilla and sweet red fruit at first which becomes darker with pleasant acidity. Paired beautifully with roast chicken stuffed with sausage and mushrooms:
