91 Points

Monday, January 1, 2024 - Opened early, shaken like Stevens, and given a good old swirl in the Sensory. Ah yes, Fourrier style on the nose with all that attractive red fruit. The palate delivers but this wine is starting to lose the JMF signature and show signs of MSD terroir and some autumnal decay . Perhaps just pinching up a little on the finish too and lacks a little finesse compared to the straight Gevrey VV '11 which is a decent effort in the vintage. A top 3* for me today.
