Friday, June 25, 2021 - From 75cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanted one hour. Exquisite strawberry/beef consommée/gently herbal/morello scent; surprisingly big-bodied entry with perfectly sweet fruit core, nice dark complexity (licquorice?); super-ripe acidic gain on the thrilling mid-palate; just a hint of tannins to keep things structured on the long, tingling finish. Villages Burgundy doesn't get better (or more concentrated) than this drop-dead gorgeous MSD - the only serious competition in my memory was a 2009 Camille Giroud Vosne Romanée opened at a similar age. Anytime from now - ?? 93P
