Friday, February 6, 2015 - Decanted for three hours. Raw meat, roasted Kona coffee, brown sugar and blueberry. Long on the finish and more lithe than previous vintages. A lot of fine beauty, with a gliding acidity. I have never tried a Relentless that did not impress. This, along with Kongsgaard, is my favorite Syrah from Napa - year after year. Quite ready for immediate consumption. Drink now - 2022.

2/8/2015 7:10:00 AM - Thanks for note. I also really enjoy Shafer syrahs. My only experience has been drinking them with 5-9 years of age. My question, base upon your experience with this bottle, are you going to drink the rest of yours in the near future or lay them down? I'm trying to decide whether to go digging for these.

2/8/2015 2:26:00 PM - Good question. I see this aging well, yet is ready now. I have two more bottles, and will not touch another one at least a year, just to see the evolvement. I would like to revisit this in two years or so.
