Tuesday, December 18, 2007 - Color: rich ruby and cola. Very nice color. Nose: crushed rasberries, red currant and pomegranate. Tight (alcoholic) nose. Besides the alcohol, very nice nose. Taste: Rasberry with bitter flavors of molassas, black tea and pure cocoa. Still tight and hot after 24 hours. Smooth tannin and overall integration. Sort of phantom finish--quickly disappearing. Overall: Almost a very good wine, but I think this wine is too young. Perhaps in a year or two this wine will really sing.
