2011 Booker Vineyard Remnant

Monday, December 23, 2019 - At the top of its class in terms of powerhouse Paso reds, with an intriguing array of flavors working well enough together to keep this race car from veering off the track. Notes of raspberry, apricot, orange peel, fennel and toasted vanilla vie for the leading role. Plenty of heat in addition to the evident oak, but somehow it all works (and I am not a big fan of most Paso darlings).

10/2/2021 4:02:00 PM - Great TN, thanks. Even though I've been going to Paso once or twice a year for 15 years, besides Tablas, where I'm a club member, I don't have deep experience with many other wineries, just tasting here and there and buying a bottle or two opportunistically.

Among the biggies L'Aventure has only gotten more expensive. I'm not impressed with some other big, bold, manly wine joints.

Anyway, you've got me looking forward to this bottle, which I picked up at a sharp price at Benchmark's recent Bin Sale.
