Thursday, October 31, 2019 - RPM Italian White Truffle Dinner (RPM Italian, Chicago, IL): This is wide open and aromatic with savory tones of red cherries, raspberries, dark red berries, balsamico, roasted herbs, licorice, tobacco, dusty notes, tar, and some violets. This is just firing on all cylinders with a real expressiveness and depth. The Full bodied feel is refined and balanced with crisp, high acidity and silky, high tannins. This is drinking beautifully and is right in it's drinking zone. This does have a slight touch of balsamic note that is distracting. Otherwise, this is a gorgeous and sexy Barolo.
