Thursday, July 2, 2015 - Caveau des Arches: Wines with Dinner (Beaune): This will need some cellar time, far more than most 2011s at its level. Red and black cherry aromas with good intensity. Similar flavors profile that starts with good spice, but today is followed by a slightly hollow/ shut middle that I hope will expand with time. Slightly bitter finish that I also hope dissipates. Perhaps just 88 points based solely on pleasure provided tonight, but I certainly see upside potential, so judgment deferred. I wouldn't revisit to 2020 or later.
