Sunday, March 26, 2023 - Mature brown. Opened for about 6 hours before drinking but not decanted. Had a few tastes over that time and was disappointed - it was rubbery and synthetic. But then in typical Barolo fashion it was totally transformed with food (on this occasion an oxtail pithivier) - completely integrated plum, prune, raisin, violet, mint, leather...and totally resolved tannins. Classy, perfectly mature. An absolute pleasure. My last bottle, but ended on a high note.
