Saturday, August 3, 2013 - PnP, served non-blind. Garnet toward ruby. Nose begins slowly, with funky, reductive notes, but moves, albeit a little slowly, to a modest, but pretty nose of mentholated cherries, fennel, dust and roses. Full(-) body, with lively acids and, surprisingly for its age, tannins that remain silently in the margin, giving this a subtle, but complete framing. Ready to drink now, but I would recommend 30 minutes in decanter for proper aeration. 14,0% abv, drink thru 2018.
