Tuesday, January 14, 2014 - Popped and poured, tasted--then left the rest to sit for an hour. Notes are on par with what others have said. This isn't just good juice, its great wine! Actually, I bought a few extra bottles and gave as gifts over the holidays.
Probably one of the best pop-n-pour HS Wines I can remember. QPR is pretty good and at least a notch or two up on most Central Coast Syrahs.
Not sure if this would last til 2022--and frankly, why would you want to wait? Its drinking well now, and will be for the next few years easily. If scoring, I would say every bit of 93...and maybe a little more with a proper decant. Really a great effort! Man I can't wait for the 2012 vintage!
Final Words: Pair with some Santa Maria BBQ or Blow 'em Away at your "Under $40 Syrah" Tasting.
