Sunday, June 17, 2018 - Beautiful nose of dark fruit — plum, baked cherry, oak. On the palate brooding dark fruit with a cherry cough syrup element (not unpleasant). Luscious on the palate with evident tannins and acidity that provide a wine of structure. I have to think this wine still has a number of years ahead of it. This wine is a warm blanket on a cool evening. Unlike Sauvyfan’s note below, the wine was terrible on day 2.
