Friday, December 18, 2015 - Deep crimson in color, this full-bodied blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah is packed with dark bramble fruits, smoke, loamy earth and black pepper. With fresh acidity, well-integrated alcohol (14.5%) and sturdy tannins, it stays dense in the middle and closes with a chewy, medium-length finish. This is an impressive effort that offers beautiful purity of fruit. I suspect that with another year or two in the cellar it will get even better. Drink 2017-2025.
