Sunday, November 9, 2008 - This is a beautiful wine. Deep deep purply garnet hue. Dried herbs, wooded fruit with cedar undertones to the tongue. Soft soft tannins in the mouth with round full mouth feel. The tongue was also treated to an enticing and balanced harmonious mix of cherry, plum, and other wooded fruits. To boot, there is a long lingering finish. Decanted for sediment only (no offense, but it is nearly criminal to decant this as long as four hours). The tannins are now too mellow to believe that this will improve any further (my guess actually is that this is probably just past its peak).
