Monday, December 18, 2023 - Flower Day - decanted off virtually no sediment. Some wine to the top of the cork along one seam but otherwise only about 1/2 a centimetre of ingress. Garnet core out to a slightly developed edge - no browning but showing a change in colour. Nose is very dark fruit with some light tobacco, new leather, spice and red flowers. Very soft on the palate with rich dark fruit, spice, leather, and cigar box. The finish is long with warm spice, dark fruit, tobacco and leather. This is perfect tonight.
