Friday, November 15, 2013 - This wine looked like black ink when I poured it. I swirled the wine and it coated the glass!
The aromatics are exotic; loads of white pepper, crushed cherries and blueberries. On the palette, the wine has a superb structure. Well textured, but subtle at the same time. Super long finish. The tannins suggest that this was opened prematurely. The wine reminds me of a fine Rhone Ranger. This is an excellent specimen. Not too expensive, and pleasantly restrained, relative to the typical Aussie shiraz.
Definitely one for the cellar. The average Cellartracker score understates the quality of this wine.
