Friday, April 18, 2014 - Unscrewed and poured, then re-tasted several times over the course of about 2 hours. The nose showed typical mourvedre notes of leather, black berry fruit, dried herbs. Also showing lots of alcohol, firm tannin, and some acidity. Volatility showed itself more and more as the wine opened, causing a distraction as we tried to explore the wine. The alcohol also became increasingly tough to deal with, especially on the palate. A disappointment.
