Saturday, August 13, 2016 - Medium-dark red color with medium transparency and limited thinning at the rim. Decanted off of moderate amount of sediment after standing in cellar for 40-ish hours. Aromas of earth, sweet tobacco, cherry, and thyme. Palate has meaty, earthy core with sweet tobacco leaf and cherry flavors accenting it. The finish is medium long. This hasn't changed much since first sampling per my memory of it. As with the first bottle, not an epiphany, but an excellent aged wine. Drink or hold.
