Friday, December 31, 2021 - (Disgorged in beginning of 1980’s, 35% Pinot Noir and 65% Chardonnay)
Lovely golden yellow colour with a mature nose showing butterscotch notes combined with brown butter, minerals and chocolate. Very expressive nose. Honey sweetness and chocolate at first on the palate with a red apples acidity and a very creamy mid part before the very intense and lengthy finish wrapped up with a honey smoothness. Sadly not that many bubbles left, but enough to push the cork a bit and to keep it going in the glass. Very good with a balanced mature taste right now.
