Thursday, December 19, 2013 - In comparison to their 2012 Grenache offering, this 2012 Monastrell is head and shoulders above. This one is so bright and juicy, you can't wait to take another sip. The color is medium dark magenta. The nose is vibrant, explosive cheery, red raspberry and blueberry. Mouth coating rich red fruit that tastes sweet but is totally dry. Super little young tannins. Has enough structure to age for a while, or stand up to a steak.
