Friday, October 24, 2014 - Decanted 2 hours. Nice, clean nose of dark fruit, touch of dried green leaves.

Moderate+ concentration with red and black berry, dark cherry, hint of dried herb.

Nicely integrated, tannins in the background.

Bright acidity. OK with or without food but really shone with the meal.

Medium+ finish with a dried herbal note and, indeed, blood orange (props to Amenenberg, I would have had trouble identifying this but I think it to be accurate).

For me this is a very good QPR and a terrific pairing for a savory meal (chicken saltimboca).

I enjoyed now and its easy to believe there is an upside for the patient. 91++
