Wednesday, April 17, 2024 - Deep, ruby appearance. Medium + nose stacked with black fruit - black cherry, black plum, blackcurrant. Very complex nose with dried herbs, cinnamon, wood, smoke, leather, and a floral element. The nose is muted and brooding at this stage but you can smell the intensity. On the palate, high acid, full body, pronounced intensity, and high + grippy but elegant tannin. Borderline unctuous on the palate. Red and black fruits come through on the palate. Long finish. I could drink this now but know it would be a crime to do so. Magnificent.
