Sunday, August 31, 2014 - This wine is a ruby red in color and has a great smell on the nose. The Syrah making its presence felt. On the palate, a really nice bottle that has a refreshing pop or zip to it. A nice taste of strawberry, light raspberry hint to me. Wife is a big Rose fan. I usually enjoy a deeper red (i.e. cabernet) with more complexity but I must say this hit the spot on a hot day in summer and was a wonderful bottle for the price. Great value. Would make a great summer sipping wine. Goes well paired with pizza, BBQ grilled meats, or a nice spicy Asian dish. Tasted great with our BBQ and lighter eats at the party we took it to as a nice crowd starter. Our last two bottles and they went quickly. Will try to get some of the 2013 on my next Napa visit. Serve chilled is my recommendation as is the case with most Rose.
