Monday, March 23, 2020 - Well, this cork was in perfect shape compared to the prior bottles. Very dark ruby color with no sediment. Profound nose of ripe blackberry, cassis, peppermint, tobacco, and nice flora's. Followed over two days open and by the second day the palate had settled in to a very nice place. This was tasted on the heels of a 2012 CTBP Rutherford and it shows a lot younger than the one year difference would suggest. In general this is riper and a little more extracted. Bold and delicious. Great for pizza.
Happy to have three more to spread out over the next 5 years or so.
5+12+17+8= 92
