The nose is an wonderful as ever, a complex mix of cassis, black plums, old leather, mushrooms and more. The palate, though excellent, is not quite where is was when I rated a bottle of this from Blantyre 100, the only 100 I have scored on CT.

This is still a fantastic wine, but a bit off the peak in 2011, in my opinion. I'm sure it will provide an interesting drinking experience for many years, but it is likely to continue to slowly decline, unless it has been stored in a very cold cellar since release.

Alas, my last bottle. Good bye, old friend!
