Sunday, January 29, 2023 - 2nd wine from Contador, made from Tempranillo, aged 18 months in new FR oak. Deep, nearly opaque garnet red, ruby hue. Explosive rich aroma of dried plums, blackberries, spices, incense, smoke, earth, dry wood, dry violet petals, espresso. Full body, power & structure is the key of this Rioja, so concentrated, perfumed and multilayered flavours of spiced, smoky and chocolaty black fruits. It just doesnt stop to evolve, concludes with rich finely grained tannins and endless toasted cedar, smoky and spiced finish.
