Friday, November 26, 2021 - Another good bottle following some previous disappointments. Opened and decanted to accompany pheasant. Dark blackcurrant colour. Lovely nose of dark berry fruit, cinnamon, marzipan, cloves, leather. Earthy palate, dusty, mature, less fruit than the nose, smooth. Medium length. Excellent overall, but towards the end of its drinking window.
