Tuesday, September 9, 2014 - A Visit To Weingut Karl Erbes (Weingut Karl Erbes, Urzig, Germany): Complex aromas show in the glass, with scents of mint, candied lemon peel, and a hint of wood smoke all working well together. It's round on contact, with herbal flavors showing right away. Big apple flavors bloom and become full, and peaches show themselves on the mid palate. Herbal flavors hang onto the center of the palate adding complexity to the big fruit flavors. Full sweetness is present through the entire experience.
