Friday, January 25, 2013 - Solid color and a very intense nose of green stalk, dark red fruits, ether and allspice. On the palate, this is really nice with rustic green notes typical of this wine along with dried cherries and spices and a real aged, decayed note in a very precise package. Finishes smooth and medium-complex with the green stalk notes dominating but in a good way with further tertiary notes of cigar box and dried herbs. Clearly a well-stored example of this wine. From a vineyard I generally don't care for, this was an excellent performance.
