96 Points

Saturday, May 9, 2015 - Decanted for 6 hours. We followed a 2005 Harlan Napa Valley reserve and both wines were almost the opposite of each other as the NVR was more like a Bordeaux. The caymus SS came across with huge notes of Vanilla extract, carmel, toffee, milk chocolate and french oak. And almost a sweet taste. Massive rich explosive flavors throughout. This is so dark its almost black and it stains your teeth and lips as well as the glasses. I love this wine. In a few years this will be a 98-99pt wine.
