Saturday, August 29, 2015 - Decanted for 3.5 hrs then slow ox for 1.5 hrs more. Color very deep purple to the rim. Nose was redolent of blue fruit, and entry was of stewed fruit. There was little structure or secondary flavors, while the texture was notably viscous. No perceptible tannins and extremely low acidity, and perhaps the shortest finish I have experienced.
I concluded that this bottle was cooked while in storage at the distributor/retailer, and is not representative of the wine in the least.
