Sunday, September 15, 2013 - Dalwhinnie are most well known for their iconic Shiraz, but in good years they also produce some exceptional Chardonnay, unfortunately 2011 was not one of them.

The wine is a light yellow in colour, with more apricot and musk aromas than i can remember in previous vintages, the wine suffers from a lack of varietal and fruit expression which is masked by oak. It will be interesting to see if complex and contrasting flavours emerge over time.
