Saturday, June 20, 2015 - 2015 Aspen Food & Wine Classic Trip; 6/17/2015-6/22/2015 (Aspen, Colorado): This well-cellared bottle (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) shows an opaque red/garnet robe, as well as plenty of black and red fruit on both the nose and palate. Fig, anise and vanilla round out the flavors and are wrapped in a full-bodied, moderately tannic frame laden with American oak. The alcohol is nicely integrated and the middle palate is solid. Perhaps the most impressive quality of this Cabernet is its long, smooth finish. Drink now-2020.
