Monday, September 9, 2013 - (13%) 90% Tibouren, 10% Grenache – My first noted encounter with the Tibouren varietal. Some oxidative hints here but beautiful light colored, perfect texture, dried fruits (orange peel), herbs, spice and mineral freshness. Medium bodied with depth and energy that carry through to a pleasant, saline, lingering finish. Intense, complex and savory throughout. At $24 pricey but rose seems to always deliver…

Wine Geek Notes: Vines 30+ years old, fermented in stainless steel, aged for a year under fleurette (a thin layer of yeast a la Sherry) in 100-year-old foudres, imported by Maison Selections
