Thursday, November 3, 2016 - An incredible Chardonnay for the money - fresh and energetic but still complex enough to reward attention. Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of lemon rind and salt water. Tastes of grapefruit, green apple, orange peel, and minerals, with a lingering, almost oily finish. 13.5% alcohol. Very few $30 Chardonnays would be drinking this well four years out, but this has plenty of life left in it. This reminds me of Hanzell's Sebella or Wind Gap's James Berry: in other words, lean, but quite good. Drink in next year or so.
