Saturday, July 4, 2015 - Shows considerable improvement over the last bottle opened (July 2014). The prior bottle was very tight, tannic and not in balance, but none of this was surprising for a wine so young. Given time, I saw a good amount of potential in it (and scored it more on that potential) and have now been fully rewarded. Rose and intense blackfruit on the nose. Somewhere between medium and full bodied with great richness and density. Very pretty black raspberry and black cherry flavors with very good balancing acidity throughout. There's a lot of fruit here, but it never goes over the top. Much smoother and more integrated than I remember from last July, but with enough structure to suggest that this wine should continue to improve with peak still to come.
